The footballs back this week, with plenty of friendlies being played.. Not to mention the carabao cup rounds kick off !! This is one of our favourite times of the year .. English football returns properly this week with the first round of the Carabao Cup getting underway. One of the standout ties sees Middlesbrough host Wrexham (Fri, 8pm), while Mansfield Town take on Sheffield United (Sun, 4pm). Matches from the first round run from Thursday through to Monday, with coverage across Sky Sports. The Scottish Premiership continues after an exciting opening weekend. Celtic host Dundee this evening with a 7:30pm kick-off, before attention turns to the weekend where Rangers vs Hibs is one of the standout fixtures. With the Football League proper now just 12 days away, it is also time to start drumming up interest across social media platforms. Wolves vs Blackburn gets the league season underway on Friday 14th August with an 8pm kick-off. In cricket, The Hundred continues with live matches running from Monday through to Sunday next week. Coverage is live across Sky Sports and BBC throughout the competition. In MotoGP, the action comes from Silverstone this weekend, with sessions taking place across Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Lastly, in Rugby League, the standout fixtures include St Helens vs Hull FC (Thu, 8pm) and a Yorkshire derby as Wakefield Trinity face Leeds Rhinos (Fri, 8pm). What a beaut of a day !! And we’ve rhe ever popular Dj Daz with us tonight from 8pm, for another fun filled evening of video karaoke !! With not only the handsome Tallawah Sound gents, but we’ve an amazing support band, plus it’s Black Slate from 8pm !!
